Testimonies – Part 3

K.A.Akintola

“My son attended Chrysolyte school for 9 years and I have no regrets at all, in fact I will say, it is the good foundation gaining from the school that prepared my son for the secondary school. We all know that secondary school is a big step for children. I have never seen any of the children been treated in a bad way or seen any of them been physically abused. Chrysolyte school believes in children and they make sure that children were listened to. All the support given were to prepare these children to become useful to themselves, community and to the whole nation. The school did a great job looking at the pupils that passed out of this school compared to those of other schools. I say WELL DONE”.

“During my sons 9 well spent years at Chrysolyte, I will faithfully say the school has delivered nothing less than its mission statement. The school encourages parents to work with them for the benefit of the children. As I got to know the matron and the principle I noticed how much work, love and effort they put in to ensure that these children do not only come out to be outstanding members of the society but get as many children off the street as they possibly can. They instilled the belief in them that they were worth something. My son was not only happy at Chrysolyte, he was well educated and well-mannered to the point where it could be seen by outsiders. When my son got to year six, I began the daunting task again of looking for secondary school. I visited four grammar schools and three private schools and in all of them there were pupils from Chrysolyte. More so that in one of the parent evening, one of the boys that addressed the parents was an old Chrysolyte pupil. My son went on to gain a place in this school. I wish there were more schools like Chrysolyte”.

Patricia George

“Chrysolyte School has been a major part in the way I see life, from young when I first started Chrysolyte, just before my third birthday, I was always accepted with open arms and treated like family. The teachers and pupils were always addressed with respect and this rule was upheld throughout the years I remained at Chrysolyte. I cannot express the love Chrysolyte gives out and the rules and regulations that keep every student on the right life track. Chrysolyte has always and will always be a part of my life. I have previously gone back to do work experience working with the younger children and assisting teachers and have also been on visits to see how everyone is. I cannot imagine not going to Chrysolyte and having that strong upbringing and balance. It will always truly be close to my heart”.

“Chrysolyte has been nothing but a help to me ever since I started; through manytough times (& challenging exams) I have come out on top. I have now been in aGrammar school for 4 years and am doing a music GCSE. This foundation was laid by Chrysolyte for which I am extremely grateful”.

“I had the privilege of attending Manna Saturday School from the age of 5 (or 6). I was known in my primary school for being disruptive at times, so my mother (Elizabeth Thomas) sought avenues where I could focus my energy. The school made a dramatic impact on my life both academically and spiritually. It gave me a comprehensive foundation in my core subjects as well as solidifying spiritual principles in me. I am still in contact with both Matron and Sir, regularly returning to help where I can, and they even attended my wedding not long ago. All in all, I have been blessed to come into contact with such people and greatly value my relationship with them”.
